Human growth hormone, or somatotropin, is a full-length protein reference used to study direct growth hormone receptor activation. Research examines JAK2 and STAT signaling, IGF-1 expression, protein and lipid metabolism, cell growth, endocrine feedback, and tissue-specific receptor responses. It differs fundamentally from GHRH analogs and ghrelin-receptor secretagogues, which act upstream to stimulate endogenous GH release in experimental systems.
